Got a great tip? Share it with us. You know, stuff like "Prevent sneezing by pressing you index finger firmly between your nose and your upper lip."

Fishermen, ramblers and general outdoorsy types - getting bitten by a lot of bugs (mozzies, gnats, etc?).
Douse yourself in Avon's Skin So Soft oil - works wonders.

SkinSoSoft is a miracle. I don't know about moisturising but it is the only defence against the Highland midge (which considers DEET to be some kind of condiment). The price of this Avon goodness goes *up* the further north you go.

I fish up in the Sierra Nevadas 3-4 times a year, and June is horrible for mosquitoes. The first time I went up, I'd been warned, so took Skin So Soft with me - the next trip EVERYONE took it.

I have, although we were in Belize and you wouldn't laugh at them anyway.

And took 3 bottles of Skin-so-soft to Honduras. It did bugger all against the mosquitoes for me (although the 50% DEET spray I had only kept 80% of them off) but was highly effective against the biting sandflies.
