This is a question Tramps

Tramps, burn-outs and the homeless insane all go to making life that little bit more interesting.
Gather around the burning oil-drum and tell us your hobo-tales.

There used to be a facebook page dedicated to the local tramp Horace
where people would submit pictures of him and dream up adventures that he'd go on if he wasn't standing outside Budgens all the time. Just had a look for it and it's been deleted :(

yes horace!
best tramp ever. though not really a true tramp per se, as he does actually live with his father from what i understand.

a few months ago when i was walking through north finchley, i walked past him to discover he had actually gone to the trouble of recording himself say (shout) lots of swear words into a little portable tape recorder he had, for quite some time i might add, before playing the tape back at full volume.

I've heard it! He was in Budgens (surprise) begging them to let him have more batteries as his tape player had died on him
I bought him some as he would not leave without them. The woman serving scowled at me for it :)

hah yeah bet they loved that!
petrol on the fire and all that.

he's also rumoured to be a timelord, is horace. hasn't aged a day in the last 20+ years he's been around finchley by all accounts. it's suspected that in discovering the secret to eternal life and time travel it has caused him to go a tad loopy.

One Boy looking at ladders on a sunny day...
Horace isn't a tramp, and he was mentioned many times in the "Local Nutters" QOTW a couple of years back. nothing but nice things to say about him, he always brightened my day and parted with a jovial "BEST OF LUCK!!".

My apologies then for assuming he was a tramp
and not merely a local nutter who brightens your day a little each time you see him.

At least 27 years by my reckoning
I used to live in North Finchley as a kid, went to Woodside school. The day wasn't complete without seeing Horace. Just seen some vids on youtube...the man doesn't age!
