Working in an office, I pick up on a lot of football talk
However, not enough to really talk in depth about it.

I use the tit bits I pick up to go and speak to someone about football, and start an argument, then walk off during their rant, telling them I don't really care.

For example:
Me: Tottenham are going to have to sell their best players now they aren't in the Champions League.
Tottenham fan: No they aren't, they'll stay loyal
Me: I heard Bale and Van Der Vaart are leaving
TF: No, they'll stay because... blah blah blah
Me: Sorry, I don't really care.
