Hahaha, I actually turned down a mate's spare Suede ticket this weekend
and much of our conversation was about how incredibly overhyped they were at the time - the press releases ahead of Dog Man Star alone were masterpieces of gushing hyperbole about how it was going to be "a phenomenal record, like no-one's ever heard before" rather than "just another self-indulgent, wanky indie album"
