Hope this hasn't been said yet.Starfish had been taking over a number of coves in some fishing community. Don't recall which. To alleviate the problem, fishermen would reel in the starfish, cut them up, and throw back the "dead" starfish.
What they didn't know is that if you cut a starfish into pieces, so long as there is a portion of the center on a given piece, you may grow a whole new starfish.
No longer do they fish.
