"Crap at reading door numbers", maybe
Possibly even "a bit shit at electrician recognising", but cowards?
PS I am pleased your child wasn't hurt. They also did this to my neighbour last year. I wonder how common it is?

My dad is copper.
He said he was crapping himself when he first joined and did his first house raid. There was intelligence saying the bloke inside had samurai swords etc.. and would probably try and use them. To be honest I think every single person on here would crap themselves if they were the first to go through the door knowing that.
There's not one point in my life that suggests he's a coward. In fact, with living with a copper for so long you see the range of stuff they actually do in their job. They're not all out to get YOU and piss YOU off.
I spoke to him last night and he's been to 3 suicides already this month. Dealt with several robberies, incidents involving drugs, RTAs...all sorts. All the while he keeps his head screwed on and does his best to be a good parent despite people like you hating him. They're there to help you and your family.
Have you never made a mistake at work? There would have been one guy in charge of the operation who messed something up. They didn't all intentionally and knowingly barge in to the wrong house just to annoy you.
Have you considered why they might be raiding a house on your street? Would you want your small child growing up next to a drug den? Arms supplier? Meth lab...

So...
your dad does his job. He does what we pay him to do. Kudos to him.
I love it when people attempt to justify coppers' actions by listing what they are actually employed to do. If they find it that hard maybe they should find a career they're more suited to - just don't let them become heart surgeons: "Oh, I put that heart in the wrong body. Oh well, someone upstairs must have given me the wrong bed number. No harm done."
As to the list of 'arms dealers, meth factory" etc... I think living that close to the only growth industry left in the country can only be a good thing.
