I'd like to say that your country is fucking awesome.

Been here a year now, staying for 5 more. Was devastated to see the Christchurch earthquake (amazed that there were 0 fatalities though)and the mining tragedy at Greymouth. But I've been nothing but impressed by the kiwi way of life.

Whilst we're all in this shitstorm together, I can think of several worse places to sit it out that over here!

Why is it only people from overseas who say this?
I, too, love this country, which is why I get so annoyed at what the gummint's doing. We've got a nice wee country here but people like John Key are trying to make it something it's not. Shame really, though you make a good point. I'd rather be here than a lot of other countries in the world. At least we're not wartorn or impoverished.
