Waste of money
I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.
Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

In a cupboard in the kitchen chez moi ....
nestles a Soda Stream, an ice cream maker, a bread maker and about £200 worth of food processor and accessories.

Ah, the "cupboard under the sink collection"
this was the subject of a sketch show "advert" quite a few years ago.

Soda Streams are ace
but I can't find anywhere local to get gas refills any more. Boo!
My breadmaker gets constant use. The food processor is from 1977 and only does soup-making duties these days.
My dad has an ice-cream maker that gets used a couple of times a month, but he's still got kids in the house. If I had one I'd just get fatter.
