Waste of money
I once paid a small fortune to a solicitor in a legal case. She got lost on the way to court, turned up late with the wrong papers and started an argument with the judge, who told her to "shut up, for the love of God". A stunning investment.
Thanks to golddust for the suggestion

Today I paid my course fees
for my MA in Comparative Literature. It's the most money that's ever gone out of my account, and at the end of the year I'll probably be less employable (unless I score a PhD). So hooray for that.
Give me money.

i'm doing
an mst in creative writing. and thinking about going for the phd.
if there is anything less useful than a phd in creative writing, i'd like to hear what it is. funnily enough, my law firm doesn't feel like paying the fees........ (not that i'd really ask, creative writing and legal drafting don't go THAT well together!)

Oh hell yeah, go for it
And I reckon you could combine the two. I didn't exactly read my tenancy agreement (I live with two lawyers, so I left it to them) but I totally would have done if they'd written it as a story.
