I can't abide Les Pauls, but clearly they must be good because so many excellent guitarists use them.
the thing with the 336 is odd though. I don't play it any differently to any other guitar, and yet it goes badly out of tune when I play it to the point where I can't use it for a whole song.
the Firebird however was a delight to play and as soon as I can muster up £1200 and the justification to buy it then I will do so!

and never had any problems with that either.
Must admit, though, I've never played with a 336 for any amount of time so you may well be right.
Les Pauls are OK, but I don't think I'd ever buy one.

and that they are really end heavy at the bridge end. Personal thing though, and I haven't played one since I got good enough to make it worthwhile.
I suspect it is just me with the 336, my mate who owns it can play it with no trouble.
