This is a question Things to do before you die

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us that his ambition is to a) drive around New Zealand in a camper van; and b) have MASSIVE sex with the original members of Bananarama. Tell us what's on your wish list, and why.

I can only think of one thing
...and that is to travel. Call me cliché, whatever. I'm a big of a geography/geology geek, so attractive scenery and famous places appeal to me. Most noteably:

- New York
- Lake Como
- Iceland

I'm sure I've said I wanted to visit many other places but my mind is like a seive half the time and I also tend to get distracted oft..

I've been to New York a few times.
I didn't like it much- then again, it was the height of summer. If you wanted a breath of fresh air, you'd need to open a window and stick your head in a building.

Well
I think I'd just go there for a weekend - no longer. I'd just go to say 'Yeah I've been there'. Geographically it's a waste of time :)

Oh, I forgot: New Zealand. Definitely New Zealand.

Iceland
...is well worth the trip. Wifey and I visited there just last week and fell completely in love with the place. We were only there for five days and would happily have stayed a lot longer. Do it!

[insert generic supermarket joke here]

Very nice
Which part did you visit?

...
Mostly the south-west, so Reykjavik (of course) and the so-called 'Golden Circle', and also a tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. We'd wanted to visit the Westman Islands but that pesky volcano silted up the harbour that the ferry goes from, so that was out. With more time we'd have gone further around the south coast and taken a trip up north, too. Also, we could've spent another couple of days just exploring Reykjavik itself.

The landscape is incredible, bizarre, awesome. And the poeple -- while initially reserved -- are very friendly and welcoming.

Great place.

The frozen food section.

Top-left and bottom-right
The north-west is well worth a visit too, as is the south-east coast near the glaciers.

The only thing wrong with travelling
Is all the travelling involved.

I'll only do long haul once a year and even that is getting too often. Either invent teleportation or bring everything closer - I hate flying and I'm getting old.

Rough camped on the shore of Como

Waking up to a fine mist and having your morning slash in the lake was wonderful.

do it..
throw out the guidebooks though
the best bits are never the popular bits..
just returned from lanzarote, one hellish chav resort, spent most of the time fascinated by lava flows and their agriculture.
