A friend of mine managed to do his thing yesterday. He played on stage with his favourite band at the Apollo in Manchester after winning a comp.

Hell, I'd settle for a chat and a coffee with my all time favourite band (you wouldnt like them) and talk about songs for a bit.

I managed to meet my favourite band, the Barenaked Ladies, last month.

Never heve I been so disappointed, with attitudes ranging from sheer boredom to arrogance, it was obvious they couldn't be arsed.

Lets hope Same Difference* are more sociable.

I met and interviewed Mark Eitzel, of American Music Club. They say you shouldn't meet your heroes, but he was everything I would have hoped, charming, interesting, full of great stories. He told me he would only talk for 20 mins, then we spoke for over and hour, and he gave me complimentary tickets for the show. Lovely guy, and I hope to repeat the experience.
