This is a question I witnessed a crime

Freddy Woo writes, "A group of us once staggered home so insensible with drink that we failed to notice someone being killed and buried in a shallow grave not more than 50 yards away. A crime unsolved to this day."

Have you witnessed a crime and done bugger all about it? Or are you a have-a-go hero?
Whatever. Tell us about it...

Apparently I was wanted for one...
...Teddington contains an odd selection of people, but this one just confused the hell out of me.

My friend and I were walking home, we were about 14/15, ergo still in school uniforms, when this bloke wanders up alongside me, produces a piece of paper and mumbles in my ear:

"I've got a warrant here for your arrest."

Christ on a pogo stick! Shurely this is a case of mistaken identity?

"Um...ok, why have you got a warrant for my arrest?"
"What school do you go to?"
Given the name of the school is stitched onto my fecking blazer, I thought he could have worked that out, so I persisted...
"I don't understand: What am I supposed to have done?"
"What school do you go to?"
FFS...
"Teddington. Now what am I sup..."
And he just wanders off. Didn't even want to know who I was. I remain perplexed to this day.

with no tenacity

he
probably came to your school every day and hidden in the bushes wanked over you.

Did he mention;
Puppies?
Sweets?
Getting in his car?
Body-searching you?
Making you famous?
Keeping a secret?

Can't say he did...
...perhaps he just got a little nervous, like you do when you go to speak to your crushes.

It's a slightly worrying idea - I'd assumed that, since I was pushing 6ft at age 15 and probably could have sung second bass*, I wasn't really to a nonce's tastes.

Still, it's nice to think at least one person might have fancied me back then.

*No, I wasn't a choirboy at the time either. That would have been a dead giveaway.

Teddington School
I wonder how many others from there view these boards?

I departed in 1992.

@the Admiral...
...so there's a chance I might have even known you. I left there in 2001 (If memory serves)

The place obviously nurtured a specific breed of interweb geek.

Odd that
... I also went there. Left in 2000 at the end of Year 8 to change to another school, as I found Teddington itself was a bit.. eh.. shit.

Still live down the road near Hampton Wick station, mind.
