This is a question "You're doing it wrong"

Chthonic confesses: "Only last year did I discover why the lids of things in tubes have a recessed pointy bit built into them." Tell us about the facepalm moment when you realised you were doing something wrong.

An open letter to the learner driver on Slateford road in Edinburgh earlier this year
If I overtake you on a clear road in a 40 limit while I am coasting along on a pushbike, you may be doing it wrong.

Also, to various drivers on Tong Street, Bradford:
When all the traffic is literally moving at crawling-pace, the minimum safe stopping distance is a good deal less than 200 yards no matter how heavy your vehicle is, even if there's ice or water on the road.

to the driver of the 53 bus last week
swerving at a cyclist on an otherwise empty stretch of road is not big or clever, you cunt.

The rather busy turn onto the bottom of Inverleith Row is a puzzle as well, I was once stuck behind a rather confused lady who didn't realise that the trick is to creep into position on green then make a dive to complete the right turn on the change to red. She was stuck there unable to complete the turn on green due to excess business and stuck on red 'cos that meant stop. Once I puzzled it out I drove round her and went on my way, she may well still be there though it will have quietened down by midnight some ten hours later to ease her passage.
