This is a question "You're doing it wrong"

Chthonic confesses: "Only last year did I discover why the lids of things in tubes have a recessed pointy bit built into them." Tell us about the facepalm moment when you realised you were doing something wrong.

CDs.
Not CD's.

I buy real cds too even though I only ever listen to music on my mp3 player or laptop now. It's nice to physically own something and have it as backup in case the mp3s go missing/broke/abducted by space men.

Me three. Although I am moving more into downloading. Bit skint with child and it also means I can get it sooner.

I'm going to box my CDs up soon and move to the garage as they take up space. Sad aren't I?

Been there, done that.
My CD collection had filled the only storage cupboard i had, so i boxed up 80% of the ones i least listen to.

they've sat in the loft for the past 4 years as i gradually fill the cupboard again.

We've considered doing a car-boot with them, but we like having the 'proper' cd's rather than just MP3, and i can't believe second hand cd's sell for much nowadays.

...and if you keep the ripped MP3s after you've sold them
then that's as bad as ripping them from a mate in the first place.
