If they're in clingfilm then they're not poached
and they come out as blobby microwave style eggs. And should be shot out of a thai whore's arse into the nearest sewage outlet.

Coddled is better anyway.

Recipe for you...
get some pudding or risotto rice and cook gently with milk, spring onion, salt, pepper and a little garlic. Let it soak up the milk a lá rice puddding.

Place a layer of the cooked rice mixture in a rammekin(sp?) and crack an egg on top. Cover the raw egg in more of the rice mixture, top with a little cheese and bake in the oven till golden on top.

Eat and enjoy.

How do you coddle an egg?

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:35, archived)
It's a bit like poaching only the water isn't boiling
and you need a coddling pan (or some other devious trickery) to stop the eggs from munging together into one big egg.

Although ... one big egg might also work.

Aha
the pan with the little cups?

I coddle eggs regularly then.

Munging. Good word. Munging.
