Fried. Poached. Scrambled. Biffed. Fisted.
Which is the best way to prepare a chicken's eggs?
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:24, archived)
I don't know
I don't eat them.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:25, archived)
It's a fucking good job you replied so promptly to the question.

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:25, archived)
isn't it just?

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:27, archived)
i've not been on b3ta properly for a couple of months
but you sounds just as gay as when i left.

i applaud your consistency.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:31, archived)
I don't care.

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:25, archived)
Poached or fried

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:26, archived)
this
but also boiled. poached eggs are best of the 3.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:29, archived)
poached is correct
Funny how many people don't eat eggs. they're ace.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:30, archived)
Poached is too tricky.
Soft boiled is better. Mmmyes.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:32, archived)
now that depends what you are having them with
but I am favouring scrambled at the moment and fried with gammon steaks.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:26, archived)
poached
theres an ace guide on how to do it using cling film on the b3ta review of the year somewhere

"OMG don't you know you will surely get CANCER from those eggs??!!!oneone"

from my boyfriend. ha!
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:34, archived)
If they're in clingfilm then they're not poached
and they come out as blobby microwave style eggs. And should be shot out of a thai whore's arse into the nearest sewage outlet.

Coddled is better anyway.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:31, archived)
Recipe for you...
get some pudding or risotto rice and cook gently with milk, spring onion, salt, pepper and a little garlic. Let it soak up the milk a lá rice puddding.

Place a layer of the cooked rice mixture in a rammekin(sp?) and crack an egg on top. Cover the raw egg in more of the rice mixture, top with a little cheese and bake in the oven till golden on top.

Eat and enjoy.

Ooo ... baby-food-tastic!

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:42, archived)
How do you coddle an egg?

(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:35, archived)
It's a bit like poaching only the water isn't boiling
and you need a coddling pan (or some other devious trickery) to stop the eggs from munging together into one big egg.

Although ... one big egg might also work.
(, Thu 27 Apr 2006, 13:41, archived)
Aha
the pan with the little cups?

I coddle eggs regularly then.

Munging. Good word. Munging.
