The last Indian restaurant I went to gave me a free shot of kahlua.
It tasted vile but had a pleasant aftertaste, which made me finish it off.

I've only ever had it as part of a cocktail.
It's an essential ingredient of a Black Russian, which is very nice.

A place on Cockburn Street that has since succumbed to the dreaded pub rot* used to do cocktails named after the seven deadly sins.
I think the Gluttony was a big milky thing with kahlua and rum in.

* you know, you go in one day and it's turned into a trendy wine bar with chrome tables and pine floors. And all the shouty old men start morphing into finance executives.
