I have red and brown mixed together fairly evenly as my natural hair colour.
But the beard thing - now that's just odd *is thankful I cannot grow one as am a ladybeing*

You're totally missing out. The possession of, or at least ability to possess, a fine beard is one of the great joys of life.

I feel sorry for you that you'll never be able to experience that. Unless you become one of those old ladies who manage to grow some decent facehair. I guess there's always that to look forward to.
