Couple of questions
about site building...

what would be the best cms for building static pages in a wysiwyg manner while being able to use my own design?

also, does anyone remember the name of the free textarea replacement that gives you a wysiwyg editor in a html page incase I have to write my own cms?

/ed: just read this back, damn it's a load of toss.

That's a lot of words not to understand

I half understand it, though the important half is beyond me

more seriously
I find there is no such thing as wysiwyg, all browsers interpret what you really want the layout to look like in their own non conformist ways.

'm after
a mambo / phpnuke-like backend that's not bloated...

and the other thing was HTMLarea though, in view of fckeditor I think I'll write my own backend :)

it's great
except when it ballses up and crashes. Or cacks up your templates. Which it does a lot.

legally obtaining it :)
