some kids at my primary school
had clip-on or velcro-on ties. Generally it meant either:
- no one could be arsed teaching the child how to do a simple knot
or
- the child was too fucking stupid to manage to do a simple knot
and had nothing to do with health and safety, corporate image or anything else.
