It may be one of those TVs with a volume control on the set, or you may be able to obtain a replacement remote,
or even take the back off and do something fiddly with the wires. Without know if any of these apply I am not really in a position to offer you any further advice. I'm truly sorry that I am not able to be any more helpful, and I hope that this has not unduly ruined your forum experience.
