1981 was still a bit late 70s.More early 80s but it's the only film I remember with that freezing gadget.

watched Westworld again recentlyalso awesome.
They were always showing these kind of films on Videodrome on BBC2, used to be great, remember staying up to watch Escape From New York for the first time

They should make a sequel to WestworldAt the beginning of the film, i recall that there were other "worlds" that people could go to, and they should make a film about one of those alternate worlds. And as and extra twist, they could make it so that the robots don't go wrong and try to kill everybody.
