I agree with both of these things
I may email Stephen H and invite him to come to Afan with me on Saturday. I want to see him cane the energy trail, manualling the rock gardens in his wheelchair while shouting "SPELL CAT. SEE AYE TEE. CAT" in his special way.

I was chasing a friend who does that sort of thing as his main sport.

I didn't see that coming because he was in front of me and by the time I'd seen it, I was flying over it, I hit on my front wheel but managed to hold it and rolled down the other side and slowed down a little.

as I say I didn't really have the opportunity to think about it. I wouldn't do it again.
I'm happy speeding down after my mates until I fall off and fly into the undergrowth, at which point I tend to slow down and think more about MY ability.
