Many a time.My mate Moxy lives up there. I've spent time at the weatherspoons (I think) with the tall ceilings and a fat lass tried to give me a chinese burn. She was wearing a cowboy hat.

Now I've never visted the Toon myself,but I'm still going to stick my neck out and suggest your experience says more about Wetherspoons pubs than Newcastle in general.
