I think people have different ideas about comedy.
This has caused unpleasantness in the past and has asked questions about where exactly the boundaries of the comedy should be set. Some people are of the opinion that mercilessly ripping the piss out of people who have recently suffered a bereavement, for example, goes beyond such boundaries. Others take it further and reckon that comedy based on discrimination is also over the mark, as, although the joke may be stated in an amusing manner, it's likely to cause offence to people who don't deserve to have offence caused to them. This may have led to the present situation of blandness whereby it has turned into a regular discussion community much like any other online community. No doubt the formation of real-life relationships through meetings has contributed to this situation where pixels are transformed into flesh and blood. These three poofs walk into a bar.
