never asking my mother in law which recipe in the secret family cookbook was the right one for the awesome cheesecake
As there are a few and one family member swears its the one made with cottage cheese but this seems WRONG.

Make them all and then set up a blind taste test.
And if the books a secret how do you (and now all of us) know about it?
(, Sun 28 Jun 2009, 17:57, archived)
ahhh see it's still a secret because I haven't told you the full list of ingredients
it was passed on to me a few weeks ago because I am the cook type person of the family, but her own children grew up with watching the recipes being made so they knew most of it anyway. For some reason no-one ever paid attention when she made cheesecakes.

Cottage cheese is curd cheese.
What did you think it was? Cheese made out of cottages?
(, Sun 28 Jun 2009, 18:03, archived)
I think it's made from cottagers

Seafood maybe?

(, Sun 28 Jun 2009, 18:32, archived)

but it's loose curds with a higher water content and has very little flavour compared to curd cheese

Food that you don't like?
WHAT?

It isn't coated in sugar, deep fried and served in a polystyrene tray.

But it can be ingested.
I'm confused and a little afraid. Has the actor playing her changed while I've not been here?

I'm pretty sure it's still puppetted by the fat mitten-like paws of our favourite ex-pat joy-vacuum in aberdeen.

this sub-thread is everything that's wrong with the internet

Those are some very large, greasy puppets.
