Hey everybody knows me already so I don't have to sponge off the good name JMG.
Who'd like to discuss TV with me?
I enjoy the US version of the Office.

I'd go so far as to say the US develops the best TV programming.

Channel 4 are good for sitcoms

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:42, archived)
Friz, you're in the media.
How is life treating you?
*Firm handshakes*

What do you see for the future?
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:44, archived)
There'll be more "people centric shows"
Not chat shows.. more sketch shows/sitcoms where one person is the main character/writer (like the US used to do... Seinfeld, Rosanne, Geena Davis, etc).

Starting about March.

[Untitled Project] will be airing about November.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:46, archived)
That's quite precise.
Are you on the inside track with this?
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:48, archived)
It's like Screenwipe, but with music

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:49, archived)
This sounds like good tv.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:52, archived)
I need to think of four more "I Love [Band Name]" ideas
Name a band whose music all sound the same.

Preferably a recent band
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:53, archived)
Keane, The Killers, Elbow, Kaiser Chiefs, The Fray, Green Day, The Zutons, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Franz Ferdinand.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:56, archived)
I say more Friz based TV columns in the press.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:48, archived)
I'd love at least one

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:49, archived)
the wire probably being the best

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:43, archived)
I find it useful from time to time.
When wanting to view programs and that.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:43, archived)
Actually I'm looking forward to the V remake.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:45, archived)
As a big fan of Arrested Development, I will agree with you on that.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:43, archived)
Is the movie this year or next year?

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:44, archived)
Probably next year.
There were rumours that Michael Cera didn't want to sign up for it, but I think it was pure speculation.

I don't wish you were dead by the way. It was just a bit of crowd-following from last night.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:46, archived)
Peopled wished I was dead?

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:49, archived)
Terrible business.
Users were stepped.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:50, archived)
Woah
I didn't realise I was that important here
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:51, archived)
Apparently so.
It was a bit strange, though I only caught the tail end.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:50, archived)
Probably best I've been away today then
Been performing at Brinkburn Priory. Bloody awesome it was
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:51, archived)
Oh is that what you were talking about.
Is this weekend off?
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:54, archived)
It is - heading off back to Lincolnshire

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 1:00, archived)
Boo rubbesh
I was hoping to wish you good health.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 1:04, archived)
I'll be back next week. We'll have a couple at The Goose

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 1:05, archived)
Or tomorrow, if you're free

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 1:05, archived)
I'm working late and skint.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 1:23, archived)
I've been meaning to watch Lie to Me.
I think Tim Roth looks like a psychopath, though.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:43, archived)
I keep meaning to watch that
not got round to it. Fella off 40 year old virgin isn't it?

I enjoyed Charlie Brookers latest show but I find him funny anyway.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:44, archived)
Yes.
But "Brick, from Anchorman" is the best way to address the man.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:46, archived)
Was Brookers new show last night?
I missed it :(
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:47, archived)
Yes, it was rather amusing.
I'll be watching next week.
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:49, archived)

Here you go
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:49, archived)
Cheers, though I have to get on a decent computer before I can watch it.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:51, archived)
It's on 40D Streamy Catch Up Thing

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:52, archived)
Steve Carell

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:50, archived)
Steve Carell is Charlie Brooker?
I'm so out of touch
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:52, archived)
Yes! The US Office is the better version.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:45, archived)
I'm glad we're in cahoots on this.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:46, archived)
if you like telegraphed humour you can see coming for miles, and none of the pathos, than it's better

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:52, archived)
The US is great for dramas. Mad Men being my favourite ever.

(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:45, archived)
denmark and norway have porn on free to air that comes on at midnight
beat that, america
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:46, archived)
Every season the US throws up a few gems
Favourite out of new stuff I've seen so far is Hung.

Worst by miles is Virtuality (steaming heap of shit). The Cleveland Show was dire.

Warehouse 13 looks promising though.

Edit: No, it's shite
(, Thu 9 Jul 2009, 0:53, archived)
