I was being really tight,
and added a line to the end of the story in my head, which now reads:

"Lucy was a lovely girl who contributed a lot to the school. She was bright and lively and very popular with both pupils and staff alike.

"She will be greatly missed, as will the quad bike."

Is it just me who finds the thought of a 5 year old girl
out on a field with a sister only a couple of years older on a quad bike at 9:30pm just utterly stupid and the parents should be given lessons in how to not be stupid.

No, it's not.
I bet Rik Mayall and Ozzy would agree too.

I'm in good company
The guy who used to live across the road burnt his leg on the exhaust of a quad bike. He showed me the wound about 6 weeks later and it looked really nasty even then.
