B3ta is so big that the site itself is quite impersonal, and I suspect that many people would be reluctant to give their details.

So you make it so you don't have to
i.e. tick a box to say you're interested, the organiser writes an email, and b3ta emails it to the address you signed up with to all the people who ticked the box
