I know there's the 4rthur thing, but I'm wondering if you lot would like your own one?

Probably no more than the 4rthur one.
I think most people are happy to use the 4rthur one, even if they don't use the rest of 4rthur.
Having a B3ta one too would just mean you'd have to post all your events twice, and it would be more hassle.

I am a member of 4rthur but prefer b3ta
b3ta is more random and sillier and not so up it's arse with non 'clique' members.
As I am not using it full time I can just pop in and out at random and annoy people.

my feeling is that there's a crowd of faces who use 4rthur
who are all perfectly nice people, and call for drinks on b3ta would get a different (with some obvious crossover) bunch of faces.

Maybe.
But the nice thing about the 4rthur scheduler is that to sign up for a bash you have to be registered and therefore able to have 4rthur messages sent to you.
If you had a bunch of people signed up to your bash in the b3ta scheduler, you wouldn't necessarily have a way of contacting them all with details and soforth.

I don't need another message board, and going to another website is jsut extra hassle.
Having the only pub scheduler there excludes the many b3tans who either aren't aware of it, or just don't bother with 4rthur

Whether or not we 'need' our own is fairly immaterial, it'd just be better to have one. It'd include more people and be more convenient

My point is, why make do when we've been offered something else? We shoul at least give it a try, if it doesn't work, people wont use it

I tend to check the arthur one every now and then, and any bashes on here usually get spread by word of fingers and by being put in peoples names.
