"Thread Jack" - Evolved from the term hijack or carjack is used when a member wishes to change the subject in an existing thread thus hijacking the thread.
In practice the actual words 'thread jack' are rarely used with other soundalike variations used instead such as 'Fred Jacques' and 'bread crack'.

The FAQ says that b3ta should be pronounced to "rhyme with Peter". Regarding the differing pronunciations of "Peter" (for example, the American practice of pronouncing the central consonant as a "d"), "b3ta" should be pronounced accordingly.
