Normal conversation is around 1khz to 3khz
Over 8khz is kind of getting towards high pitches, but isn't overly high.

Thanks for BScMusTechsplaining that to me.
I tested my own hearing the other day with a hat recording, which has a full audio frequency range. The hat sounded much brighter in my left. This NHS test only used arcade style warbling tones up to 8khz and determined that I can hear those better in my right.
8khz is a little bit sharper than B8, the fundamental frequency of the highest note on a full size piano. Don't try to outnerd me.
