The best piece of cooking kit I ever got was a smoker
Cold smoked salmon and bacon in winter, hot smoked ribs and shit in the summer. Nothing I like more than fannying about in the garden all day whilst drinking beer.

My compromise is a 6mm thick baking steel which makes domestic oven pizzas a whole lot better
