Is there a particular reason why you called him poopy?

It's a corruption of Popeye
which is appropriate, given his corrupted and popped eyes

Wife named him and he's certainly lived up to it.

Ah, that explains it
I can't talk, I've had a tarantula called genghis p fucklegs, a fish called Becky Jr and cats called catface, Azrael, Mr Bigglesworth and Igor.

Our first family pet was a cat called Pushkin which I'm sure my parents thought was terribly clever.
He was a total psychopath and lived to 15 and when he died we made dad get a granite headstone in the garden which reads 'in loving memory of Pushkin' even though everyone hated him.

What did she name him?

Vet called out 'Poppy' assuming it was a typo, I immediately corrected her.

Last time we were at the vet the people in front of us had their cat with them, his name was Mr. Jinx
When they went through into the exam room he started to meow really loudly so I said "Classic Jinx" to my wife and we both sat there laughing.
