I've been digging out my old breaks vinyl, so many bangers but it all went to shit around 2006.

yeah we used to have a pirate round here point blank, their breaks fridays were awsome in the early to mid 2000's
wasn't a genre I used to dj but loved listening

I think what killed it off was a combination of a creative cul de sac, plus dubstep.
It ended up just Breakfastaz/Botchit style tear out breaks, and Finger Lickin' style funky breaks, neither of which were that good.

it's still around new stuff being released but yeah it peaked a long time ago

Yeah I see new stuff online sometimes but it's not a patch on the OG era

Don't recall that name.
I was into the techy end of things. Forme, Meat Katie, Koma & Bones etc.

I'll give it a blast when I'm not dj'ing to my tiny audience
worth seeking out the afghans mix of omni trio - renegade snares

gonna bust out some breaks of my own
but, like, proper breakbeats, not that smeggy nonsense
