Had the memorial for my uni flatmate on Saturday.
Strange day. I took along a load of old photos from the mid-90s to mid-00s, which his family and friends were delighted to see. His brother (with whom he had now-never-to-be-resolved issues) kept commenting on how slim he was. Seems he'd got used to the American lifestyle and had become properly fat, probably why he died in his sleep at 49. I hadn't seen him for 15 years, it felt like a memorial for someone I didn't know.
