I was at Milan cathedral on Monday, they've got one of the nails that was used to crucify Jesus.
I'm sure they have a full audit trail confirming the authenticity of this item dating back to 33AD.

I don't understand why a rusty nail would be open to question at all, they're notoriously difficult to forge
