I need context. Is this your job, or a random friend or family member who is slightly disturbed?

I don't habitually socialise in here. But I see bits and pieces from time to time of what's happening.

I am from round these parts, and even I don't know.
I may have missed an initial post explaining the context, but all I know is that Smash has posted about "the mental" for years and I have no idea what's going on.

It's my aunt
She has dementia, but she was fucking unhinged long before that. She lives in the next street and pesters me constantly. She will fall asleep on the sofa, wake up at 5am and call me, because she's awake which means I should be, too. If I don't answer, she will come to my house and shout through the letterbox. I have to deal with the memory clinic, who keep insisting that she's fine(is she fuck), the shop across the street where she regularly causes havoc and threatens people, and the police, who she calls at least once a week to report her neighbours for such crimes as looking at her in a funny way, or using the alley gate when she doesn't like them.

no point explaining to them they'll forget once they've had a sleep

She can't remember anything for more than about a minute these days
It's incredibly frustrating to have to have the same conversation multiple times a day. Her current record is 29 calls in under 2 hours.

I'm sorry to hear that.
I had a neighbour in my street who had dementia, and I would often find her out in the lane, looking to get a bus, in her dressing gown, off to visit her mum in Cambridge (who had been dead for twenty years).

Sorry you are going through this.

Her son is coming up next Sunday
To take her to Suffolk for a couple of days. Best birthday present I could ask for.
