I've Had My Eye On You!
I made this!
I did a spot of decorating last year and had the opportunity to set up a little practical joke for the future. It's just a shame I won't be there to see the pay-off, but I'm sure my hard work will be worth it. Hope you enjoy.
Edit: Newsletter gladness, woo and yay! Cheers.

bravo!
very good sir!
a mate of mine dug up the pond in his garden in the summer. there was a note under the liner, telling him he was an arsehole for digging up the pond.

I saw that in the newsletter.
I had been thinking of doing this for a while, but seeing that laminated message convinced me that it was definitely a good idea.
Thank you all for your kind words.

Like it!
last year I built a partition wall just off my existing wall to the neighbours for sound proofing... I wrote a huge story on the wall...about what it is like living with the aliens and I was sorry that they were leaving and that I'd heard rumours that they were going to wipe our memories when they go so we won't remember them....someday I guess someone will see it when the partition is ripped down.... Yep... I to am sad.

On a smaller scale
I recently had a white board put up in work. On the wall facing side I drew a pair of boobies.
The bloke who put it up found it humerous.

I disapprove
You didn't take the radiator off when you decorated.
Nice gag, though.

That was the one bit of shoddyness in the living room. I think it came down to me not being arsed at the time.

Well...
Modesty prevents me from agreeing with you wholeheartedly, but I have noticed from this post that you tend to be right about these things.
Having said that, the quality of the things posted on this board make my own efforts seem rather banal at times.

Nice one!
I've done some work in construction, and often leaft oxymoronic notes on the inside of walls, behind skirting etc.
"I wasn't here", "If you're reading this I have failed", "I've lost my pencil" etc.

Dont fret...
...cause luckily seppo's are as paranoid about political shit, and anti government sentiments as Nazi Germany was at it's height. And they reckon they're a world leader!

I did the same thing on my floor.
I painted 'DON'T EAT THE CHEESY CHIPS' in 4' high letters before I laid the carpets.
Some years later, after we had moved out, I went back to collect any mail and found workmen pulling up the carpet. I was poor at the time and the carpet was one of those foam backed jobbies.
The floor bore the legend "DON'T EAT THE CHEESY CHIPS" in cream foam and Manley was proud.

We found a hidden message in our bathroom when we decorated
Someone had written in foot high letters "I love bobo" and then papered over it. Weird but maybe not as weird as their decision to use wallpaper in a bathroom...

did you put an email address on it?
so you could get some feedback after it's discovery.

You shouldn't really paint onto the plaster
so he did it the "correct" way, and papered with plain paper and then painted it.
The reason you shouldn't paint onto plaster is because if someone then decides to use wallpaper they are basically glueing it to the paint, which will not give as good a bond as paper/plaster.

I'd leave it on show...
If I moved in and discovered that I would keep it on show.
On a sadder note, a house I once owned had the message "I still love you Susan" painted in foot high letters on the floorboards under the carpet.
I later discovered that a previous owner had killed himself after his wife left him.
It kinda creeped me out a bit.
