a springer spaniel who's just eaten and is sat out in the sun all content, and a mastiff who has been kicked and abused, not fed and eally wound up.
Jabbing at both of them with a stick will get different results, the spaniel will probably ignore you for being a silly pest. The Mastiff will snap and try and kill you.
Now if you'd tried to calm the mastiff, feed it, show it you are a friend, feed it again, put it in the nice warm sun, then maybe it won't react to that jabby stick.
You can draw pictures of mohammed, and everyone should be able to take a joke, but some people just aren't in the frame of mind to laugh. So until the mastiff is fed and rehabilitated, jabbing it is a slightly silly thing to do in my eyes.

then I'm sure we'd be drawing as many funny zombie mohammed pictures as we do jesus ones.
Being a cunt to some upset people is just being a cunt, its not fixing the situation.

my drawing of Mohammed (below) doesn't contain a pig, or a cock or the goatse man's arse replacing his mouth - it's just a drawing of a man
you've posted far worse about, for example, the Tories, a group of people with far less abhorrent views fundamentalist Islam - after all not even they condone the stoning to death of rape victims. Does that make you a cunt?

I was refering to the people who are deliberately setting out to be a cunt, the film maker that did the gaybar thing, the facebook groups encouraging as much offence as possible. Your picture ironically is exactly what should be done and what I was refering to about positive paintings elsewhere.
As for the tories, yes, they've affected me directly so I feel I have a good reason to depict them in a satirical way. Mohammed hasn't done anything himself so I don't see the point. Suicide bombers and fundamentalists have which is why I have drawn them in the past.

shirley?
I know where you're coming from though, I was bullied at school, by a kid who'd most likely been kicked and abused for most of his life. I don't know how much lunch money I handed over to him, pens, paper, he took my watch and tried to sell it back to me for a fiver, then threatened me with death if I told any of the teachers. Didn't make him my friend, even though sometimes I tried to chat to him, find common ground. He still always found yet another thing about me that he saw as worth hurting me for.

But yes, resolve the situation then all share the joke is the ideal outcome. Problem is some people will always want to kick off, be it over religion, nationality, football team, whatever. They just pick the easiest excuse be a cunt to others.

and, yes, I agree, a lot of crusaders jump on the latest bandwagon for bashing some group they don't belong to. In this case, I think it's a complicated matter involving an almost "religious" value in America, the right to freedom of speech, versus a religious value. I think it's valid to protest against infringements of freedom of speech, personally, whether the people trying to infringe it are religious or not.
