i left a comment on there. i said something along the lines of it's big of you stealing pictures from b3ta and classing them as your own. have you got no talent there? mind you, looking at previous pictures from your paper, i think not!' edit: don't think it'll make it into the comments myself!

Seriously they'll just claim someone sent them in or something, and it's not their job to investigate copyright infringements.
What was the other paper that included a bunch from the compo and namechecked the authors and b3ta? I think it was The Sun ffs. Perhaps the Mail need to see a link to that page to see how it's done, and to see how fucking shallow their copyright claim is.
"Tim Stewart" is a total cunt.

A staff reporter wouldn't have © credited and I've found articles he's written for other papers. Thats how they get out of the shit. They can blame him for breaching copyright although they probably asked him to do it...

DM me if your work has been stolen, folks. I'll happily discuss your options with you and talk you through the tricks they will use to avoid paying you.
edit: comment submitted (breath not held): "Who is Tim Stewart and on what grounds does he claim ownership of this work?"
ps - Julie Moult is an idiot
