Best I had was 27mb down/10mb up, but seemed to me about two other persons were able to throw me files at that speed, for the rest it was the usual sluggish anyway.

only 1.5MB up but that's Britain. upload costs a fortune.
So I rent a 1 gigabit server ( up and down ) in Paris, give it a polish IP. Do all mu business on that, remotely then download to my home via 50MB.
Works for me ( but I pay for it )
