# Hello world!
old people can be so cruel!
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 8:48, archived)
# Morning All
Bloody right they can! ah the freedom to piss in your own pants! *sigh*
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 8:53, archived)
# The freedom to piss in your own pants
is as nothing compared to the freedom to piss in others' pants

... but these are matters of which I must not speak further
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:00, archived)
# what about
panting in others' piss?
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:03, archived)
# Yay!
That's fantastic!
Do more! Do more!
DO more!
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 8:54, archived)
# Speaking of "fantastic" and "do more" ...
Are there any more B3ta Canteens after the first three?
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 8:59, archived)
# I posted the fourth one
last night.
Expect a repost after I've got my coffee at ten.

# B3ta canteens?
Sorry I haven't been paying enough attention. What are these canteens of which you speak?
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:27, archived)
# It's a B3ta-meme based comic strip
and very good too.
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:38, archived)
# Yay!
I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to a repost ...
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:28, archived)
# I was originally going to
post it today, but I finished it and couldn't wait.
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:31, archived)
# That's very funny.
I'm told Thread Jack is the phrase to use. My friend who's a user has been trying to get me to join for weeks, so here I am. I've been popping by to look more and more so I thought why not. I've had a look at the FAQs and I'm sure I can work out how to post an image. Questions though: How long has b3ta been around? How many women are users? What's the best programme for animated images?

Hee hee - and sorry for mocking the newbie

# Seriously though
B3ta's beginnings
I don't really know, but the male:female ratio is slanted heavily on one side (guess which)
And I use GIFBuilder and/or GIFMation (reasonable freeware you can find through Google).
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:18, archived)
# but we have
our fair share of ladies, I count about 20 of us are regular posters. Plus some more intermittent ladies.

# So many questions!
But yay! A new member.
I think B3ta's been around for a couple of years now, I'm not sure exactly.
And I'm not sure exactly how many woman there are posting, quite a few.
I ust Image Ready that comes with Photoshop for my anims (oh, and Flash) but there are some free ones about.
And I'm about as much use as a woollen umbrella in April.
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:15, archived)
# If you get a free copy of Paint Shop Pro (often on the cover CD of PC magazines)
It comes with Animation Shop, which is fine for simple anims, as the ruminant one says you'll find flash really good for "cartooney" ones
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:17, archived)
# Yes,
what he said.
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:18, archived)
# Yes, I have Image Ready. But I've never used it!
My mate has told me bits and pieces about b3ta, but I'm still not entirely sure what hummus is, apart from chick pea paste. And why are you called Bovine?
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:20, archived)
# In geek terms,
Hummus is the B3tan version of The Force, it's what binds us all together.
And I'm called Bovine because...um...I like cows.
Moo.
Oh and Image Ready takes a bit of working out, like onions and ogres, it has layers.
Have a play, you might like it.

# Is that restraining order from the RSPCA still in effect?

Farmer Giles didn't get any milk from Flossie for weeks after the incident

# I thought it was cos you like
your udders tickled?
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:24, archived)
# Will do!
Do you have to make a new layer for each frame? Actually, no, don't answer that one! I'll play with it for a bit and see what happens. Who's a good host for this sort of thing?
