# That's very funny.
I'm told Thread Jack is the phrase to use. My friend who's a user has been trying to get me to join for weeks, so here I am. I've been popping by to look more and more so I thought why not. I've had a look at the FAQs and I'm sure I can work out how to post an image. Questions though: How long has b3ta been around? How many women are users? What's the best programme for animated images?

# Seriously though
B3ta's beginnings
I don't really know, but the male:female ratio is slanted heavily on one side (guess which)
And I use GIFBuilder and/or GIFMation (reasonable freeware you can find through Google).

# So many questions!
But yay! A new member.
I think B3ta's been around for a couple of years now, I'm not sure exactly.
And I'm not sure exactly how many woman there are posting, quite a few.
I ust Image Ready that comes with Photoshop for my anims (oh, and Flash) but there are some free ones about.
And I'm about as much use as a woollen umbrella in April.

# If you get a free copy of Paint Shop Pro (often on the cover CD of PC magazines)
It comes with Animation Shop, which is fine for simple anims, as the ruminant one says you'll find flash really good for "cartooney" ones

# Yes, I have Image Ready. But I've never used it!
My mate has told me bits and pieces about b3ta, but I'm still not entirely sure what hummus is, apart from chick pea paste. And why are you called Bovine?
(, Fri 4 Apr 2003, 9:20, archived)
# In geek terms,
Hummus is the B3tan version of The Force, it's what binds us all together.
And I'm called Bovine because...um...I like cows.
Moo.
Oh and Image Ready takes a bit of working out, like onions and ogres, it has layers.
Have a play, you might like it.

# Is that restraining order from the RSPCA still in effect?

Farmer Giles didn't get any milk from Flossie for weeks after the incident

# Will do!
Do you have to make a new layer for each frame? Actually, no, don't answer that one! I'll play with it for a bit and see what happens. Who's a good host for this sort of thing?

There's even a helpful MSN How2 & FAQ written by Spoon.
