It's the creativity and imagination that count, not the tools and processes used. Would you think the same if I produced an identical picture but using vector shapes in Corel Draw?
As an aside, could you please do zombie versions of the Mr Men?

my advice is don't fucking listen to them.
do what you like, post and say what you like and be damned or praised with it.
but then again that's just me and my pychosis talking.
calm blue ocean...calm blue ocean...calm blue ocean :)

It's often a very damaging thing only believing in yourself and ignoring what others say. Some people are trying to help when they say stuff, and you could find shortcuts and other advantages in what they are offering.

But I find their 3d meshes instantly recognisable in a negative way, so people who use them without much alteration produce very similar pictures.
Just posing the mesh to me is like someone arranging clip art in vector package, not creating it.
I know a lot of studios wouldn't look twice at this sort of thing, so I don't recommend people use it as a rule to help them wander in the right direction. Plus its got the stigma of being mainly used for crap porn :D

It's not just the posing. Getting the lighting and bumpmaps looking good is proving a fucking nightmare and it shows.
But I'm still learning, and my aim to create this quality of stuff. As you see, posing is just a small part of the creativity.
