# if memory serves
in the 'view' or 'window' or something menu
there's an optimisation palette, which is the same as photoshop's 'save for web' gubbins

you can set all your colour-depth etc stuff there

# I sympathize.
I'm hardly making pictures any more, it's so fucking difficult and frustrating. I need to get over it.

# CS5 can open animated gifs.
Just double-click the gif. If you can't see the frames, go Window > Animation.
I blah-blahed about this if you can be bothered reading it.

# Windows version of Photoshop was able to open animated gifs even before CS5
you just used Import Video to Frames - navigate to the folder where the gif was and start typing the name of the gif and you could select it apparently you couldn't do that with Mac versions of PS.

# Hello everyone
I still can’t get it, you can open an animated .gif in CS5 with the supporting to edit it, but how can I initial an animated gif in PS CS4, create a new one, not opening an exist file?
