I doubt anyone would have bothered.

Having said that, I'm struggling to see what the fuck this is supposed to represent for you to be so convinced that it has 'surely been done before'.

And I am totally stumped as to why it qualifies to be a compo entry.

I get the 'vampire hunter shooting vampires' aspect of this. But how does it even vaguely satisfy the brief?

huh? the brief is to re-make films so they appeal to the opposite gender to the original - Star Wars for women, Dirty Dancing for men. isnt it?
this is Twighlight with "more man appeal". I think lots more men would be inclined to watch Twighlight (a vampire chick flick) if there were a decent chance the sparkly vamp were to run into a cold hearted vampire killer like Blade (a blokes vampire flick)

i thought it was pretty fucking obvious tbh, but i guess not.
