but I wouldn't get paid and someone else would take the work.
I also wish I had as many other benefits as public sector workers, at least they get a pension! I'd just be grateful to have a secure job :(

didums you have to pay more into a pension and work 3 years longer, in a financial climate where people are being made redundant on mass the public sector should stop whining

you can't keep going that long in teaching - it's a demanding job, physically and mentally. The govt. are trying to encourage more graduates to go into it, then expecting them to spend 40+ years in the profession. Looking at the staff in my school who are coming up to retirement at 60 there's no way they'd be able to manage another year, let alone another five or six.

I'll be eight tomorrow.
Seeing as I'm on strike I might make a picture for it.

I had a job that I really liked, was really good at and when the recession started I was transferred into the dullest boring job going, highlighting just how poorly paid I was in the first place for what I was doing the took some intelligence and ability.
I was again transferred to a contact centre, against my wishes.
Still I get a bit of time to b3ta, after swimming in my Scrooge McDuck style money pit.

My B3ta time stopped abruptly two years ago when my embarassingly easy, well paid new media job went belly up and I needed a stable income to support the family. Massive drop in wages to work twice as long every week (including half terms, most of Easter and Christmas, despite what the papers would have us believe) and one of the few benefits is being taken away. Love it.
