tried an old DOS port of Archon a few months back, terrible fucking controls
and the onlyZX81 durr I meant Spectrum game that still holds up is Manic Miner

I managed to learn enough basic to make a couple of games of my own for the spectrum.

I too enjoyed making little things in BASIC and later Pascal, very few of which ever got remotely finished
